A beautifully atmospheric French landscape from the atelier of Robert Bénard (1908–1996) in Paris Montmartre. A winding path leads through rolling green fields framed by dark, expressive trees, opening into hazy blue hills and a softly painted sky beyond.

The palette is wonderfully subdued—mossy and olive greens, smoky blues, charcoal, and touches of pale peach—with loose, textured brushwork throughout. The darker trees along the edges give the small landscape surprising depth, while the distant horizon creates that dreamy, slightly misty quality we love in French landscapes.
