Harlequin Silver Tea & Coffee Service with Tray

An exceptional harlequin silver tea and coffee service composed of complementary pieces by multiple historic makers, unified by period, ornamentation, and undeniable presence.
The teapot, creamer, and sugar bowl were crafted by Samuel Evans & Sons, Birmingham, bearing registration number 02717 and dating to the late 19th century. These pieces feature richly worked repoussé decoration, elegant curves, and classic finials characteristic of Victorian-era silver.
The coffee pot, identified by the five hallmark stamps on its base, was made by Latham & Moreton, also Birmingham, again late 19th century. Its scale and detailing complement the Evans pieces beautifully, contributing to the intentional, collected-over-time nature of the set.
The service is grounded by a substantial W. M. Rogers silver tray, featuring ornate scrolling edges and an intricately engraved surface that ties the entire presentation together.
Rather than matched, this set is harmonious—layered, storied, and visually rich. It is equally suited for display on a sideboard or bar cart as it is for use during gatherings, holidays, or slow, beautiful mornings.
