A rare and highly collectible pair of architect-designed picture frames by Richard Meier for Swid Powell, produced in the 1980s. Meier, a Pritzker Prize–winning architect and member of the influential “New York Five,” created a small series of sculptural tabletop objects for Swid Powell, all produced in limited quantities and now sought after by collectors and designers.

Each frame features Meier’s iconic architectural geometry: a polished silver-plated base, a cylindrical vertical support, a precision-cut glass panel, and a chrome sphere counterweight. The pairing of these two sizes is especially scarce and makes a striking modernist display.
